Sunday, September 23, 2018:  Tiger Woods won the PGA’s Tour Championship by two strokes.  While not one of golf’s four major championships, the win shows that Tiger is nearly back at the top after hitting rock bottom several years ago.

Monday, September 24, 2018: Jimmy Garoppolo aka “Jimmy G,” the hot shot quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, tore his ACL in the third game of the season after signing a five-year, $137.5 million contract in the off-season.  He’ll still make $41.5 million this year despite the injury.

Tuesday, September 25, 2018: In case you missed it, the former Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Will Smith, turned 50 years old last week. How old do you feel now? In case you also missed it, the new Fresh Prince, Ben Simmons, plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA. The NBA will be back in full swing in mid-October.

Wenesday, September 26, 2018: In the wake of the NFL cracking down on tackles or sacks that end with the tackler falling with his full weight on the quarterback (resulting in a record number of roughing the passer penalties this season), Kevin Hart took to ESPN to make light of situation by demonstrating a safe sack.

Thursday, September 27, 2018: Sticking with the theme of famous birthdays… Lil’ Wayne turned 36 this past week. He also announced and released the Carter V after years and years of waiting from his fans. LeBron was a fan. How are you liking it?

Friday, September 28, 2018: Number of the Day = 264. The New York Yankees hit their 264th home run against the Boston Red Sox, which is tied with the 1997 Seattle Mariners for the most ever.

Saturday, September 29, 2018: Number of the Day = 265. The Yanks crushed another homer to take this Major League Baseball record outright. They were playing the Red Sox again (sorry, Boston).

Things to say at the water cooler tomorrow at work:

“Patrick Mahomes is best quarterback in the NFL so far this season. Looking forward to seeing what he does tonight against the Broncos.”

Simply uttering the name of Pat Mahomes will give you credibility in the office. The 23-year old quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs has started the season with 13 touch down passes and 0 interceptions. His team takes on the Denver Broncos tomorrow night on Monday Night Football.

“Not sure I’m going to watch the MMA fight on Saturday… Unless a hand dolly is allowed in the cage.”

Conor McGregor, the mixed martial arts (MMA) bad boy who took to boxing to fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in 2017, is heading back to the UFC to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov. Conor infamously threw a hand dolly at a bus that Khabib was aboard earlier this year. All that tension and ill will culminates on Saturday, October 6th in Vegas.
